The Williams School 11th Annual Student Art ExhibitionThe Williams School 11th Annual Student Art Exhibition

Opening Reception January 8, 2011 5-8 p.m.

THE GALLERY AT FIREHOUSE SQUARE is pleased to host The Williams School 11th Annual Student Art Exhibition. Featuring artists from various grade levels and experience, the exhibit will showcase the talent of today's youth.

"The students are thrilled to have this opportunity to display their work in such an elegant and professional venue," states Greg Bowerman, art instructor. "It is the first time for most students and the pressure of selecting their work for display, as well as having to place their work in public view can sometimes be a daunting experience. In the end, though, they are always happy they did it."

Exhibiting artists include: Meggie Carter, Tripp Cottrell, Maddie Denison, Gia Eapen, Lise Fretas, Andrea Goldstein, Jackson Hallberg, Alison LaFrance, Caius Mergy and Rachel Vandyke.

Both Tekla Zweir and Greg Bowerman, art instructors at The Williams School, feel a special connection to THE GALLERY AT FIREHOUSE SQUARE. When Ms. Zweir (1999) and Mr. Bowerman (2001) were both students at the Lyme Academy College of Fine Arts, Diana Atwood Johnson was the President of the Board. Additionally, Williams alumnus Adam Milne owns the building in which THE GALLERY resides.
